Deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with a complex nose of black fruit (blackberries, dark cherries), olive leaf & olive paste, cedar, tobacco box, peppery spice and balsamic notes, underpinning a subtle gravelly/stony minerality. On the palate it makes a powerful entrance: lively acidity, firm but ripe tannins, with flavours of red & black fruits, spices, and savoury herbal / earth tones. The oak is well-integrated, with a long, elegant, persistent finish.
