The 41 hectare vineyard of Lafon Rochet is planted 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Today the property is run by Basile Tesseron, who took over from his father Michel in 2007. The vines average 37 years of age with some parcels now 80 years old. With exceptional terroir (the vines are located between Cos d'Estournel and Lafite Rothschild), Lafon Rochet enlists the services of famous consultant Jean-Claude Berrouet, the previous winemaker of Petrus.
